Back to all chairs and co-chairs

Dr Wielgosz is the Director of the Chemistry Department of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) based in France, with its gas metrology laboratory coordinating international comparisons for air quality and greenhouse gas standards. The comparisons form part of an international program supporting the provision of standards to atmospheric monitoring networks worldwide from National Metrology and Designated Institutes (NMIs). He is a member of the CIPM Sector Task Group on Climate Change and Environment, and Steering Committee Chair of the recent BIPM-WMO Metrology for Climate Action Workshop. He has contributed to over sixty publications related to measurement science including WMO guidelines on atmospheric gas composition measurement.
